As the founder of his group, Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière decided to set up the Boldness and Creativity Award (Prix de l'Audace Créatrice) in 1995, which every year rewards a particularly dynamic French company that has succeeded in increasing its earnings and profitability, but also the number of its employees in France.

This award, which aims to promote the entrepreneurial spirit and support bold initiatives, was given on two occasions by the French President (years), in 2001 by Laurent Fabius, Minister of Finance and Industry, and by Philippe Séguin, President of the French National Assembly in (year).

1997 : Mécatherm (production line for industrial bakery products)

1998 : Sabaté (production of bottle corks)

1999 : Walter (production of mobile aluminum structures)

2000 : Alten (engineering and advanced technologies consultancy specializing in telecom networks and industries)

2001 : Pinguely-Haulotte (Leading company in Europe for aerial work platforms)
